I’ve tried HTML5 video, different formats etc., but cannot accomplish video to load on a real device. What are the requirements to load video from web and play it, any changes in config.xml, adding some meta tag content etc.

Http => https for video url. Android 9only supports https

Thank you all for helping. I manage to play local files from static folder with html5 video tag. I didn’t yet tried from url and https but will.
Maybe you need to change the video format of your videos first. If possible, you could try this tool Movie Converter Mac to help you and then import the converted videos to your device to see whether it can work.
