How to Download a file from a remote server to my Android Phone

After attaching a file to a remote server, How can I fetch and Download the file to my Android Device ?

Its working very well on a Laptop but when I compile the App to Android app using Phonegap, I cannot download the File to my Mobile Android Phone.

Please any help as regards this
